SWANN, 89, OF LEONARDTOWN: Thomas Roland Swann, 89, of Leonardtown died April 6, 1996, at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown. He had worked as a manager for Sears Roebuck and Co. and was a member of Lions Club. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton. Born Oct. 1, 1906, in Charlotte Hall, he was the son of the late Frederick Swann and the late Margaret Swann. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Loveless Swann; brother, Samuel F. Swann; and sisters, Carrie S. Turner, Lesslie S. Bowling and Sarah S. Turner. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Services were held April 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. The Rev. Keith Woods officiated. Burial took place at St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery, Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Cemetery Fund, 8908 Old Branch Ave., Clinton, Md. 20735. Arrangements were provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata.
