|Bertha Wakley was born on August 7, 1919, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Hamilton Butler and Minnie (Sherman) Butler. She departed this life in Chandler, Oklahoma, on March 7, 2012, at the age of 92.
Bertha was married to Clyde Wakley, of Chandler, on September 15,1937, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Of this union two daughters were born, Kay and Clydena. Bertha worked for many years in retail sales some being Boggs Grocery & Mercantile, Hellman’s Department Store, Henry’s Dress Shop and Wackers Variety Store, in addition to working with her husband on their farm. She also worked part-time at Hillcrest Nursing Home and provided home health care for several years before retiring. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Kay Caudle, one granddaughter, Melita Caudle, one great-grandchild, Baby Grace Mathis, two sisters, Anna Yates and Addie Smothers, and three brothers, Elard, Nile and Hamilton (Buck) Butler.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Clydena and Russell Gillian of Chandler, six grandchildren, J.R. Caudle, Fred and Kay Caudle, Lori Gillian, Erin and B.J. Mathis, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand child. One sister, Edith Cardwell and one brother, Ray Butler also survive her along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bertha was a member of Chandler Southern Baptist Church. She loved teaching Sunday school to second graders and did so for over 15 years while a member of The First Baptist Church of Chandler.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 12, 2012, at Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, OK, with Chaplain B.J. Mathis, Chaplain Les Hastings and Rev. Fred Caudle officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Earl Glen Caudle, Jr., a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the age of 77.
He was born December 20, 1934 to Earl Glen Caudle, Sr. and Minnie Bagwell Caudle in Sayre, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Caudle was a full time minister last serving at CollegeDale Baptist Church in San Bernardino, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Minnie Caudle; son, Glen Dale Caudle and brother, Preston Milfred Caudle.
Survivors inlcude his loving wife of 54 years, Peggy Caudle of the home; son, Ron Caudle; son, Troy Caudle and wife, Kim; son, Jeff Caudle and wife, Rachel; daughter, Toni Sharp and husband, Jerry; daughter, Stacey Ramirez and husband, Robert; son, Kevin Caudle and wife, Stacey; son, Alfred Fowler and wife, Kim ; son, William Hinecker and wife, Susie; sister, Ann Brown; twenty-eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Dr. Dennis Taylor and Reverend Jerry Fielder officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Mountain Home Cemetery near Stigler under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
Pallbearers will be Ron, Troy, Kevin, Jeff, Steven and Ruben Caudle. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Robert Ramirez, Jr., John Dale Ramirez, Joseph Caudle, Jordan Sharp, Joshua Caudle, Lewis Caudle and Wesley Caudle.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee
Melita Kay Caudle, 52, of Jacksonville died Friday, Oct. 21 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at 2:00 pm, in Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, Ok. Dr. Fred Caudle will be officiating the services. She is survived by a son, Richard P. Larabee of Okmulgee, Ok., a daughter, Lianna Kay Larabee of Weatherford, Ok., two brothers, Preston Caudle of Shreveport, La. and Fred Caudle of LaPlate, Md., and one grandson, Parker Larabee.
